Turn Service On/Off

Turning the water ON

Turning your residential water services on and off has never been easier. Visit the New Customers section of this site to set up your account, keep track of your water use and pay your bill when it is convenient for you. You can even request a time to have your service turned on or off.

Residential and commercial customers may also call Customer Service at 757-356-6517 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to speak with one of our experienced customer service representatives.

For residences that have never had water service, we will install a meter and turn on the water. Someone should be home at the time of the meter installation, just in case a faucet or other water device has been accidentally left on inside

For residences where water is already being provided, you want to be sure that you are only charged for the water you use. We will visit your residence to read the meter and start your billing with an actual reading. This also applies for most seasonal accounts. If you were not previously a Life Essentials Water Service customer, a deposit may be required until you have established a satisfactory credit history.

Please have your service address, billing address, and telephone number handy.

Having an Emergency?

We're available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Turning the water OFF

To stop service when you are moving, or to shut off seasonal service, please call the Customer Service Center. Be sure to notify us a few days before you want your water service disconnected so we are able to take a final and accurate meter reading and ensure that you are only charged for water you have used. Be ready to tell us the date service should be stopped, to arrange for a final meter reading, and to provide us with your final billing address.

And don’t forget to have your service address, billing address, and telephone number handy.

All customers are responsible for services provided regardless of whether you have moved or sold your home. It is your responsibility to call and have services stopped.
